Another change of venue for us this week, with our usual room at C.ex being unavailable. We instead headed to the Coffs Hotel and met in Miss Cha Cha’s Mexican restaurant there. As you can see from the photos, it was a welcome change of scenery and certainly added some spice to the meeting.
George provided us with a preliminary rundown of the weekend’s 16th Wine, Beer and Food Enjoyment Day which was by all accounts a great success. Numbers were up on last year and it looks as though a significant sum has been raised for charity. Stay tuned (and key a close eye on our Facebook page!) for photos from the event.
Peter Wardman also provided us with a recap from his and Bob’s involvement in the recent Youth Directions Careers Fair held at Coffs Harbour Race Club. The students in attendance seemed to make the most of their opportunity to investigate future opportunities, so hopefully more than a few of them went away with a career or industry firmly in mind.
Paul reminded everyone that Coffs Harbour City Council will vote on the future of the Bunker Cartoon Gallery this Thursday 28 May 2015 at 5pm. Everyone who is interested in the Bunker is urged to attend.
