We didn’t have a lunch meeting last week; instead swapping our normal meeting for a dinner the visiting GSE team from Uganda.
This week our lunch meeting was chaired by President-Elect Ross Paul.
Bob Carle thanked everyone for attending Friday night’s fellowship dinner and farewell for Bernard and Carmel. Bob also reminded members that we no longer have a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards representative and asked for everyone to give some thought to suitable applicants. Nominations close shortly.
John Donaldson reminded members of our vocational meeting at Bunnings on 9 April 2018. John also advised that he and Stan Paull are working (in association with council) on new Rotary signage to replace the aged sign outside the Clog Barn on the highway.
Stan broke the sad news that we’ve lost two sponsors from the C.ex McDonalds Cycle Challenge, being MBT Lawyers and HQB Accountants. Despite that the event budget and plans are progressing well and it looks like being another successful event.
Next week’s guest speaker is the editor of the Coffs Coast Advocate, which always makes for an entertaining presentation.
For all that and more, check out this week’s edition of the Coffs City Chatroom.
