Ride Against Malaria visit 2015

On 2 March 2015 we were lucky enough to welcome visiting Rotarians and their supporters on a motorcycle ride around Australia.

C.ex Coffs Harbour put on a wonderful dinner for us in the now-familiar Rendezvous room, and the 40+ people in attendance enjoyed a fine evening of fellowship.

Many of the riders are ex-servicemen. The ride aims to raise money to fight malaria in Papua New Guinea and comes at a time of historical significance; 110 years since the foundation of Rotary, and 100 years since the events at Gallipoli.

Ride organiser Steve Carroll gave a wonderful presentation on the history behind the ride and the scourge of malaria. If you’d like to help or otherwise show your support, please contact the club and we’ll soon get you in contact with the riders.
