DV Safe Phone

Your old phone could save a life.

Coffs City Rotary partners with DV Safe Phone.

Every three minutes, someone in Australia calls for emergency help due to domestic violence.
Yet many victims can’t call at all – their phones are often taken, broken, or monitored by perpetrators. At DV Safe Phone, we’re working toward a future where every victim has the freedom to safely call for help when they need it – through sustainable technology.
By repurposing donated phones into secure, untraceable lifelines, we help victims stay connected to loved ones, reach support, and rebuild their lives. Since 2020, DV Safe Phone has collected, repaired, and distributed free phones through a nationwide network of 500+ partner agencies – including police, hospitals, safe houses, and community organisations.
