This week, we spoke about the various things we’ve been doing around town.
A donation request from Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod Society was approved for an amount of $200. Additionally, a donation of up to $200 was approved for the Rotary Men’s Health Van. Other requests were deferred until end of year for consideration.
Paul McLeod advised he is still working on the Charity Golf Day and is currently waiting on the manager of Sawtell Golf Club to return from leave to arrange a suitable date. Paul also advised he’d spoken with Daybreak Rotary about holding a joint event at Coffs Golf Club in future years, which would obviously be subject to the consideration and approval of both clubs. Marilyn advised they’re still seeking teams for their event, which was rescheduled to this Friday, 16th April. If you are interested, a nomination form is linked to the advertisement below.
Bob Carle advised that there is a committee meeting tonight for the Coffs Coast Festival of Motor Sport. One of the major agenda items to be reviewed is event marketing, logo and website design, as the indicative cost has increased substantially to last year’s quote.
There being no further business, Bernard Dowling provided an interesting 10-question quiz for members to test their knowledge. It proclaimed itself to be the world’s easiest quiz but that was definitely false advertising! The best score was 5 so most of us failed but it was a bit of fun.
For all that and more, be sure to check out this week’s edition of the Coffs City Chatroom.
