We have a Vocational Visit to the Cancer Unit at the Health Campus coming up on 3 April 2017. Getting up in time for a 6.30 – 7.00 am visit will be a challenge for many, but the opportunity to see “behind the scenes” at the campus will be worth it.
Our guest speaker this week was Chantel Burns, the education office from the Solitary Islands Marine Park Authority.
Chantel filled us in on what makes the Coffs Coast unique from a marine perspective: it is where the northern currents and southern currents converge. As a result, we have a great variety of marine life at our doorstep. This is the reason for the Marine Science Center being located in Coffs Harbour.
For all that and more, be sure to check out this week’s Rotary Chatroom.
Don’t forget that the Coffs City Rotary Wine Beer and Food Enjoyment Day is coming up. As always, it’s sure to be a great day for all. Not to be missed!
