Weekly Meeting 25 June 2018

This week’s meeting was chaired by Graham Lockett.

Our guest speaker was Dionne Court, the Careers Advisor at Jetty High School and President of the Coffs/Clarence Careers Advisors Network. Dionne spoke on school based traineeships and how we can support students further with our programs such as NYSF.

Brian Leiper reminded everyone of the current exhibition at The Bunker Cartoon Gallery, Mark Lynch’s Grin Bin. If you haven’t seen it then you’re missing out. Please remember the Bunker needs our support.

Brian also advised that our surplus t-shirts from past Cycle Challenges have been gratefully accepted and will be included in Daybreak Rotary’s “Kits for Kids” project which supplies gifts to children in Timor Leste.

Bob Carle reminded everyone that Bianca’s time with us is nearly up, heading home to Brazil on 15 July 2018. Bob also advised the ladies from the Show Society are still making enquiries about forming a local Rotoract Club and have enlisted the help of Rob Anderson.

Ian McAllister advised that himself and Ross Paul are still liaising with Rodger Pryce for a day out at his Brooklana cattle farm. Macca also reminded all to keep an eye out for guest speakers.

For all that and more, be sure to check out this week’s edition of the Coffs City Chatroom.
