A special welcome this week to Judy Smith and Phil Price, the organisers of the upcoming NAB Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge.
The event is upon us again, so Judy and Phil visited to assign us all roles for the day. Organising a ride for 800+ people is not an easy task. In fact, it requires a small army of volunteers. Please wish us all luck.
We also welcomed Neil Manson as our guest speaker. Neil spoke to us about the proposed Smoke on the Water festival that would this year incorporate the Coffs Harbour Centenary of Rail. This year is the 100th anniversary of the railway in Coffs. The festival will incorporate rail, ship and air travel with steam trains, tall ships and vintage aircraft visiting Coffs. There will also be a vintage car display as well as a model train exhibition in the Jetty High School hall.
Festivals like Smoke in the Water have proven immensely popular in other regional areas, so hopefully Neil and his crew can bring something truly special to Coffs Harbour.
