Weekly Meeting 7 June 2021

This week George Cecato updated members on some council projects and encouraged everyone to get on the Council’s “Have Your Say” web page, read the matters of interest and provide feedback. There are numerous projects and Council needs the feedback.

George also advised that he’s been liaising with Pacifc Bay Resort in respect of holding this year’s Wine, Beer & Food Event there. The event will be later this year for various reason with the likely dates sometime during September or October. Some members advised that we should consider the National Cartoon Gallery as a venue if there are any problems with Pacific Bay Resort, and George will keep this in mind.

Our guest speaker was Josh Stangl, who briefed members on his experience at this year’s RYLA event at Lake Keepit. Josh said he gained significant knowledge and experience from the event and it has helped his self-confidence enormously. Paul McLeod also advised that Josh recently became the youngest skipper ever for NSW Marine Rescue – a proud achievement and well done Josh!

For all that and more, be sure to check out this week’s edition of the Coffs City Chatroom.
